A printed heater consists of a very thin heating element on a ceramic, steel or stainless steel plate. Surface power of printed heaters can reach 30W/cm2 (200W/sq inch) with operating temperatures of up to 450°C (842°F).

This type of heater can only be manufactured if medium or large quantities are needed, space is limited and high power is required together with low inertia. Thermal regulation systems can be used with these heaters.
